Duties

Please read all details carefully, as this is not a typical project assistant position. Tasks will include soliciting, interviewing, and incorporating information and details from technical staff to create resumes and project write-ups, including visiting project sites to interview field staff and take photographs; drafting and editing resumes, project write-ups, win themes, or other pre-RFP documents based on pursuit requirements; and updating marketing database (Cosential) with written data on an ongoing basis. In addition, candidate will become familiar with technical documents associated with proposal preparation, pull data from Cosential as required to support management requests and the proposal process, work with the pursuit manager, technical staff, and marketing staff to help identify goals and requirements for pursuits, research client program data for summary and analysis and post it on a SharePoint site, research and prepare technical documents during pre-RFP process, comply with ISO requirements where applicable, and perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

This position will provide support for the capture planning/pre-RFP process in the Transportation Market. Five to ten years of experience, preferably in the A/E/C industry. Successful candidate will show a high degree of initiative, be inquisitive, and be a self-starter that can accurately and efficiently complete assigned and evident tasks with minimal oversight following training.

Skills

Must have strong interpersonal communication, technical writing, and time management skills. Candidate should possess a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite with proficiency in Word and Excel. Ability to quickly learn and utilize database, spreadsheet, editing, graphic and production software, as well as the ability to do targeted online research and summarization will be necessary for success.

High school diploma is required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Pre-employment drug testing and background check is required as a condition of employment. Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Office dress is business casual.
