Position will have varying field and office duties related to stream and wetland mitigation and other natural resource projects. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, preparation of permit applications, wetland and stream assessments, plant identification, CADD/GIS, data analysis, and technical writing.


Five+ years of professional consulting experience in natural resources. Demonstrated successful experience in natural resource project permitting including 404/401, CIF, and Rule 5 applications. Demonstrated experience in the field of wetland or stream restoration and natural resource mitigation. Prior experience with stream restoration design is a plus.


Applicant should possess a thorough knowledge of state (Indiana) and federal water quality permitting requirements and wetland or stream assessment and monitoring methodologies. The applicant should possess an understanding of watershed hydrology and ecological restoration design. Performance of duties will, at times, be physically strenuous and involve exposure to extreme weather conditions.

Degrees / Licenses (R)equired – (P)referred

Applicant should possess, at a minimum, a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Natural Resources, or related field. Additional credentials that will be beneficial include INDOT NEPA certification, Professional Wetland Scientist registration, Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control registration, Rosgen training, and formal CADD training.


This position will include a significant amount of travel throughout the state of Indiana for field work. Out-of-town and overnight travel will be required as part of this position.
