Position will have varying field and office duties related to environmental restoration projects. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, wetland and stream assessments, support of construction plans preparation, construction oversight, plant identification, CADD/GIS, land surveying, data management, and technical writing. Tennessee will serve as the primary area of operation, although regular and at times extended, out-of-state travel will be required and is requisite for this position.


Zero (0) to four (4) years of experience in environmental sciences/water resources. Prior experience/knowledge of stream and wetland monitoring and familiarity with the principles of natural channel design are a plus as is general experience in the field of environmental restoration.


Applicant should possess an understanding of wetland or stream assessment and monitoring methodologies, state and federal environmental permitting requirements, watershed hydrology, and construction techniques. Performance of duties will, at times, be physically strenuous and involve work in all weather conditions.

Degrees / Licenses (R)equired – (P)referred

Applicant should possess, at a minimum Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Biology/Natural Science or related field.

An engineering degree, with an emphasis in water resources is also acceptable.

Additional skills that will be given preference include formal natural channel design training and/or proficiency in GIS (ESRI) or CADD (Microstation/GeoPak or AutoCad/Civil) packages.
