The candidate will be responsible for soliciting landowners for participation in environmental restoration projects. The ideal candidate will need to be comfortable talking and developing relationships with landowners (primarily farmers) and securing real estate option agreements for Conservation Easement or fee simple purchases of real estate. In addition to the duties associated with landowner negotiation, the candidate will also integrate with a team of scientists and engineers to assist in the development of various environmental restoration and monitoring projects.


4-10 years of experience in the environmental/natural resources field. Prefer experience working in natural resource mitigation and familiarity with stream and wetland restoration. Sales experience a plus.


Ideally the candidate would possess working knowledge of ArcGIS, CADD, Microsoft Office Suite, and working knowledge of the Environmental Mitigation Industry in the Southeast. Working relationships with regulatory staff on the TN Interagency Review Team and TDEC is a plus. Working knowledge of Real Estate transactions, including the ability to research deeds, liens, property ownership (Title) is also a plus. Previous experience working with government programs that work directly with agricultural programs also a plus.

BS/BA in Biology, Soil Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management or Geography

MS preferred in Environmental Field


Strong communications skills required (verbal and writing).

Position will require overnight travel throughout Tennessee and potentially other states in the Southeast as necessary.
