Position will have varying field and office duties related to stream restoration projects. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to wetland and stream assessments, construction plans preparation, construction oversight, CADD/GIS, land surveying, data management, and technical writing. Tennessee will serve as the primary area of operation, although regular out-of-state travel will be required and is requisite for this position.


One (1) to five (5) years of experience in environmental sciences/water resources with demonstrated experience in the field of environmental restoration. Prior experience with stream and wetland restoration design and familiarity with the principles of natural channel design are a plus.


Applicant should possess an understanding of stream assessment and monitoring methodologies, state and federal environmental permitting requirements, watershed hydrology, and construction techniques. Applicant should also have experience with storm water design and BMP/SCM design.

Degrees / Licenses (R)equired – (P)referred

Applicant should possess, at a minimum, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.

Graduate degree and/or EIT or PE certification is preferred.

PE license or ability to be licensed in Tennessee.

Additional skills that will be given preference include formal natural channel design training and/or proficiency in GIS (ESRI) or CADD (Microstation/GeoPak or AutoCad/Civil) packages.
