KCI Technologies, Inc., a dynamic employee-owned engineering firm, currently has an opening for mid-level Construction Project Manager in the Washington, DC area. CMs will function in an Agency role and be responsible for reviewing and analyzing CPM schedules, preparing new schedules for construction and design projects. CM will be required to prepare and analyze schedules, prepare cost estimates and negotiate change orders, maintain document control, solve construction problems in the field, and establish an effective working relationship with clients, contractors, and designers.


10 Years CM/PM construction experience required, CCM a plus. Experience managing and supporting Commonwealth agencies as owners representative of facilities construction projects for state and municipal agencies. Project experience should consist of new building renovations, mechanical/electrical replacements and installations, new small building construction, light transportation, utility relocations or other construction types. Experience in reviewing plans and specifications, CPM schedules, constructability and value engineering reviews. Experience with coordinating construction phasing and sequences with owners operations needed.


Knowledge and experience in preparing and analyzing construction schedules, contractor payment requisitions, RFI's, changes and requests for equitable adjustments. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Familiarity with CPM scheduling and standard scheduling software. Familiarity with cost estimating and standard estimating software. Ability to manage budgets. Familiarity with establishing and maintaining document control on a construction project and use of document control software. Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong writing and speaking skills. Ability to work with and establish relationships with clients, contractors, and design engineers. Mechanical and electrical building systems working knowledge and aptitude preferred.

Degrees / Licenses (R)equired – (P)referred

Bachelor's degree or CCM is a plus. Degree in construction management or engineering preferred.


Project location is Richmond VA area. We have several Commonwealth agencies looking for staff augmentation of their construction and PM staff to be the owners rep either as a PM or site inspector Clerk of the Works for agency construction projects.
