Duties

Utility Coordination efforts for multiple projects.

Meeting and coordinating with multiple utility owners. Ability to provide utility routing options that meet NCDOT standards.

Ability to produce conflict matrices for major and minor projects.

Ability to Document conflicts between proposed highway project designs and utility facilities.

Coordinating utility relocation designs with highway project designs and construction schedules.

Preparation of Utility by Others (UBO's) plans and provisions with Micro-station.

Preparation of NCDOT Agreements and submittals.

Preparation of Permit Drawings and Environmental Narratives.

Ability to assess utility relocation cost responsibilities and ability to develop utility agreements.

Experience

Minimum of 4 years of experience conducting Utility Coordination procedures on NCDOT Highway projects.

High level of comprehension in NCDOT Utility Coordination Methods, Standards and Practices.

Knowledge of NCDOT State Statues in regards to Utilities.

Skills

Knowledge of NCDOT Utility Coordination process.

Ability to review NCDOT Roadway improvement plans, SUE data and review of existing and proposed utility prints to determine utility impacts.

Knowledge of NCDOT Design Build procedures in regards to Utility Coordination efforts.

Working relationship with multiple Design Firms and NCDOT personnel.

Degrees / Licenses (R)equired – (P)referred

Bachelor's degree in related field or will substitute for equivalent work experience.

Active Driver's License.

Other

Working knowledge of Micro-Station.
