The duties of this position will be to work directly with utility owners to pick up and deliver projects as described in "Skills" section above. The ability to review projects with customer(s) and answer design questions will be a requirement of this position. Attending meetings on behalf of the customer(s) will be required. Discussing “in depth” project specific details will also be required at these meetings.


Potential candidates must have a minimum of ten years of experience in telecommunications design engineering with relocating telecommunications utilities within roadway improvement projects. Candidates must have extensive knowledge in the following areas of relocation/adjustment: copper cable design, fiber cable design & FIOS design as well as manhole and conduit design and re-routing. Also, experience is required in working with local municipalities (City, County, State, & Railroad) for permit requests. Qualified candidates must have experience proposing the relocation of aerial, buried, underground cable design and path creation.


The primary skill set required for this position will be working with roadway plans designed for City, County & FDOT for roadway improvement projects. The ability to understand multiple telecommunication companies cable records, identifying copper, fiber and various duct & sub-duct configurations is mandatory. The ability to create RGB's (removal, proposed and adjusted) from greenline mark-ups is also a mandatory skill set required for this position. Also necessary, is the ability to mark-up plan pages, utility adjustment pages, cross sections, drainage cross sections, lighting plans, Signalization plans, and understanding views of existing, proposed, adjusted and remaining telecommunication utilities within the right-of-way of utility plans.

A minimum of ten years of telecommunication relocation design experience with roadway improvement projects is a must for this position.


Applicants must be dependable with scheduling work to be completed and flexible to complete projects within the time allotted by the customer(s). Qualified applicants must also be able to work overtime and out-of-town for short periods of time if necessary.
Pre-employment drug testing is required as a condition of employment, as well as a good driving record.
