Serve as Construction Manager on stream and wetland restoration projects. Supervise a crew of 2 to 4 laborers and operators through the planning, initiation, and successful completion of natural resource construction projects including rock structures, bank grading, bioengineered structures, and planting. Strong attention to detail is required as construction projects have a stated tolerance of 0.2 ft.


Three (3) plus years of experience in natural resources construction with demonstrated experience in the field of wetland or stream restoration. Prior experience overseeing a construction crew in the implementation of natural resources restoration is preferred. Experience reading and interpreting engineered design plans is a requirement. Applicant should have demonstrated experience in maintaining a safe construction site.


Applicant should possess an understanding of wetland and stream restoration techniques and invasive species identification and eradication procedures. Applicant should have strong background in use of construction machinery in a natural environment and use of natural materials. Performance of duties will, at times, be physically strenuous. An ability to read and interpret construction plans, conduct stakeout, material and supply management, and QA/QC. Work may involve exposure to extreme weather conditions. Position will be primarily field based.

Applicant should possess, at a minimum, a Associates Degree (Bachelor of Science preferred) in Natural Resource Management or related field. Additional credentials that will be beneficial include pesticide applicators license (CAT 2 or CAT 5), Rosgen training, or CCM certification.
