Duties

Develop, implement and monitor the execution of the Project CQM plan. Supervise the efforts of QC staff in the oversight of the work of multiple construction activities and contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for building systems on construction projects of moderate to considerable complexity. The Senior Quality Control Manager may be required to also provide inspection/project management, or other duties as directed under the direction of a Senior Client Representative.

Experience

KCI is seeking to hire a Senior Quality Control Manager. This position requires a minimum of 10 years of full time experience in the construction of large buildings systems. Must be familiar with USACE Construction Quality Management practices. Requires frequent contact with engineers and agency personnel to discuss and resolve field construction issues and to obtain technical guidance in specialty areas of engineering and inspections. This position also requires frequent external contact with contractor personnel to schedule and coordinate project inspection and resolve problems.

Skills

The Senior Quality Control Manager is expected to have a minimum of 10 years of multi-discipline building construction quality control plan development and implementation. Experience should include the installation, testing and commissioning of appropriate building systems. Ability to provide technical supervision and leadership to other inspectors; read and interpret building and system plans, contract specifications; apply engineering principles to determine field adjustments, maintain detailed records, perform require testing, and communicate effectively with agency and contractor personnel and the general public.

Degrees / Licenses (R)equired – (P)referred

Bachelors degree in appropriate discipline of engineering to include Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
