Duties

Under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer, layout geometric alignments, for roadways, interchanges and intersections. Develop highway plans, quantities and cost estimates; prepare engineering studies and coordinate design plans with other disciplines.

Experience

Interested entry level engineer to assist engineering staff in the preparation of highway plans and engineering studies. Knowledge of highway design principles for geometric design of multi lane roadways, interchanges, local streets and parking lots. Ability to prepare 3D design files, estimate quantities and prepare cost estimates.

Skills

Knowledge of computer programs including; Word, Excel, Microstation and Geopak or AutoCadd.

Degrees / Licenses (R)equired – (P)referred

Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering required.

Other

Miscellaneous duties as assigned, traffic counts, field visits for measurements and photo documentation, delivery of project materials to clients and assistance at evening public meetings.
